Thomas A. Kurtz has played an integral role as part of the Novey Law Group team since 2016. He is passionate about advocating for injured workers and specializes in helping his clients navigate the complexities of the workers’ compensation system. He is driven by a passion for justice and achieving the most favorable outcome for employees who are injured in the workplace.

While studying law at Lincoln Law School of Sacramento, Tom gained experience working in the Taxpayers’ Rights Advocate Office at the California State Board of Equalization. He successfully recovered a significant amount of tax liability relief and reimbursement while representing individuals, business owners and corporate offices during appeals versus the California Franchise Tax Board and Board of California State Board of Equalization.    

Prior to beginning his career in law, Tom earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration at Saint Mary’s College of California. The focus of his studies was in Operations Management and Strategic Planning. From there, he went on to hold several senior management positions, including a director-level role, in the technology and distribution and supply chain industries.
